The Rope of Life that connects and strengthens whānau

‘The rope of life’ represents a DNA helix to demonstrate that the values of E Tū Whānau are handed down from the ancestors. They are strengthened by each generation, to be passed to future generations.

This depicts the E Tū Whānau values using a DNA helix, which runs up the centre of the image. Titled "the Rope of Life - Six E Tū Whānau values that bind us together, it presents each of the values in turn along the length of the DNA strand.

The Kahikatea Grove

The Kahikatea Grove is a conceptual representation of the ways in which E Tū Whānau partners with others to support community mobilisation for positive change. Taking inspiration from the whakataukī Kia uru kahikatea, te tū – To stand as a grove of kahikatea, the analogy illustrates the complex, holistic and interconnecting nature of the work E Tū Whānau does alongside others to uplift and strengthen whānau.
